January 2012 Classes

THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS (NT360 = 2 Credits)
Thursdays,7 – 9 PM beginning January 12, 2012
Room C301
Instructor Steve Slesinger (sslesinger@cfl.rr.com)

This verse-by-verse study covers some great theological issues:  the grace of God, the calling of the Christian, the unity of believers, and God’s eternal purposes revealed through Christ.  Paul also lays very practical foundations for how to live the Christian life, even in the face of struggles, spiritual warfare, temptations, and heresies.
Homework will challenge the student to apply the text to his or her own life.

The objective of the course is to come to a deeper understanding of God’s plan for us as believers individually and as part of the body of Christ.  As we explore the scriptures together, students will develop their ability to observe, interpret and apply God’s word to their lives.  The course includes both bible doctrine and practical aspects.

John Stott says “Ephesians provides a vision of the new society God has planned in his church.”  In it, one of God’s mysteries is revealed to us.  Come and see!
