Opportunities for Outreach
We are fortunate to be part of a large, healthy, Christ-lead church. Because of this, we have many opportunities to study God’s Word, make new friends, and to serve others who are part of this church or community. The Women’s Outreach Ministry oversees a number of opportunities to show other women the love God has blessed us with. Some of these are:
Haircut Ministry: Jesus reminds us that when we serve those in need, we’re really serving Him. This ministry hosts a free haircut day. This ministry is open to single parent families, widows, and unemployed individuals within our church family who are struggling financially. Space is limited to the first 30 people, sign-up at the Women’s table in the Commons.
Pregnancy Resources: We also support our local crisis pregnancy by supplying baby booties, caps, and other items.
Prison Ministry at Women’s Facilities: When Jesus was asked, when did we serve you, He answered “when you visited me in prison.” We encourage these women by singing, studying the Bible, sharing our testimonies and simply spending time with them.
Threads of Comfort: This group knits and crochets brightly colored afghans to donate to orphans locally and overseas, as well as baby booties, caps, and other items for our local Pregnancy Resources which helps mom’s or mom’s-to-be.
If you would like to help in any of these areas or know of someone who could benefit from them, please stop by the Women’s table or the Information Center in the Commons before or after services or call the office and ask for Davia.
