Pastor Dean Corns
Associate Pastor, Viera Campus
Dean Corns is an associate pastor at our Calvary Chapel Melbourne Viera campus. He came on staff in early 2004 and became the campus pastor in Viera when it began in 2006. As campus pastor, he teaches the Wednesday night services live and also leads the staff there. Dean has been in full time ministry for over 25 years. During his ministry he has served as a youth pastor, college and career pastor, couples pastor, worship pastor and senior pastor. He was born here in Melbourne and was raised in a troubled home as a young boy. His family moved to North Carolina, but then his parent's separated and his father moved to Florida. Then when Dean was 12, his dad got saved and set free from an addiction to alcohol. God used that to bring Dean, his mom and both his brothers to salvation. They moved back to Florida and his parents were reunited in marriage until they both passed away. Soon after coming to the Lord Dean felt God calling him into ministry. Then in 1983 he married his high school sweetheart, Melinda. They've been blessed with two wonderful children and enjoy ministering together. Dean's passion is to teach others the principles of God's Word, see them live out those principles and in turn see them teach others to do the same.
