In Acts Chapter 15, we see a beautiful picture of all God accomplished through Paul and Barnabas as they did ministry together. They traveled from Jerusalem to Phoenicia and Samaria bringing the joy of the Lord with them everywhere they went. They resolved conflicts, experienced miracles, and encouraged many as they were all united in heart and mind. However, at the end of Acts 15, we see that conflict arose amongst themselves about who they should continue in ministry with, and when they couldn't come to an agreement, they decided to part ways, each traveling in a different direction as they continued to do ministry separately.
We have experienced a similar situation here at Calvary Chapel. After much effort from the Elders to seek reconciliation with Pastor Mark, it has come to a point where reconciliation is no longer possible. Therefore, effective December 31, 2021, we have formally parted ways with Pastor Mark. We wish Pastor Mark well in his future endeavors and will continue to keep him and Lynda in prayer.
Calvary Chapel will announce our new Senior Pastor the weekend of January 8 and 9.
