Job Description

This position oversees activities in the Company’s accounting functions, including general accounting, accounts payable and fixed assets, accounts receivable; establishing and implementing strategies for reconciling accounts, reporting financial results; developing the accounting team; keeping current with modern accounting practices and technology; ensuring financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information necessary for operations.

Lead team of accounting professionals who manage day to day accounting activities (1 Peter 5:3)
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting procedures and processes
Oversee banking and company general ledger
Prepare monthly financial statements and manage all required filings (1 Corinthians 14:40)
Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; lead by example
Oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes 
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring the P&L is accurate
Develop and implement corporate accounting policies, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Conduct annual performance appraisals with direct reports (Psalm 107:37)
Work independently under general supervision with latitude to develop initiatives and utilize independent judgment
Maintain accounting department files and records
Provide analytical support during budget process
Organize and keep record of all contracts and credit applications
Monitor issue of and cancellation of credit cards for employees (excluding Sam’s Membership)
Partner with other departments as needed (1 Peter4:10)
Interact with department managers when processing a resolution of account discrepancies
Approve company cost transfers
Ensure team members are cross trained to support successful daily operations
Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings (1 Peter 4:10)
Other duties as assigned by Administrator (Colossians 3:23)

Required Skills

Master's degree in Finance and Accounting 
Knowledge of multi-site campus 
Communicate financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand and drives desired behaviors (Colossians 4:6)
Results oriented, intelligent, well-rounded, adaptable to frequent changes and able to produce high quality work under pressure
Creative, conceptual thinker, able to see ideas through to completion in a rapidly changing environment
Lead with humility, strategic vision and manage with tactical diligence 
Manage projects well, delegate with oversight and inspection to staff, volunteers 
Experience in team building, team logistics and leadership with a proven record of serving others and working with others to carry out ministry
True leader who influences others to next-level performance
Manage time and schedules well while meeting deadlines consistently 
Capable of handling several tasks at once and following through
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Demonstrate ability to build and manage relationships with all levels of the Calvary staff
Ability to interact with a large church body ( > 10,000 ) and assist with a helpful attitude
Compassionate, flexible, and willing to pray with others
Organized, ongoing learner

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit - fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, as predicted by Scripture, He lived a sinless life and performed miracles while on Earth. He accepted death on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and was raised from the dead on the third day. He revealed himself to many before returning to Heaven as predicted in Scripture. We believe He will return to earth again. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. We believe that at salvation the Holy Spirit regenerates and indwells and seals every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our comforter, helper, teacher, and guide. (1 Corinthians 12:13Matthew 12:31Ephesians 4:4-6John 14:26) The Holy Spirit helps to conform us to the likeness of Christ. We also believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live as witnesses for Christ and that comes from an experience of the Holy Spirit coming upon a believer to empower them as we see in the book of Acts. That event of being filled or baptized in the Spirit needs to translate into a lifestyle of continuing to be filled, led, and empowered by the Holy Spirit as Paul teaches in Ephesians 5:18. We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to His church today just like they were in the Early Church. Humanity

Our sin separates us from a Holy God. We all sin, both by nature and by choice. The only way we can have a relationship with God is by turning from our sin and accepting Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord. Romans 3:21-26

Water Baptism and Communion

We water baptize new believers and regularly take communion. These practices were instituted by Christ, taught by the apostles, and practiced by the early church. God's ordinances demonstrate our living faith and obedience to Christ. Matthew 28:19-201 Corinthians 11:23-25

Marriage

We believe that God created mankind male and female. Men and women are both created in the image of God, and as such, they are equal in value, dignity, and worth, but different in function so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. Therefore, we perform marriages in accordance with the Bible consistent with the Old and New Testament precepts 1 Corinthians 7:1-3Genesis 2:24Matthew 19:4-6
