Let us help you plan your visit!
If you're looking to visit us for the first time, we're here to answer your questions.
When you pull in, our wonderful parking volunteers will direct you to the closest available spot. No matter which door you come through one of our Guest Services volunteers will be there to greet you with a smile. If you have kids, just head to the Commons, where you'll find the kids' ministry check-in desk. No kids? Then head to the Commons to get a coffee or snack and chat with some friends or head straight into the Sanctuary to get ready for service.
We're all about family here at Calvary, which is why we make sure that we provide the best experience possible for each member of your family. From newborns to high schoolers, our services provide kids with an engaging environment where they can have fun, make new friends, and learn about Jesus through age-appropriate Bible teaching. We even have a nursing mom's room available so you can continue watching service while caring for your child.
The service lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. We begin each service singing four songs before collecting tithes and offering and announcements. From there, you'll hear from one of our pastors as they teach God's Word and how we can apply it to our lives. We then finish up service with a song as we respond to what we've learned in the teaching. Prayer partners are also always available after the service.
Come as you are. Whether that means jeans and a t-shirt or a suit and tie, we're more interested in you, the person, not what you're wearing.
Everyone is welcome to attend Calvary. If you have specific questions about our beliefs regarding certain aspects of your lifestyle, we'd love to get together over a coffee and have a chat.
We are currently following CDC guidelines and procedures, including but is not limited to increased sanitization measures, the requirement of masks for the duration of service, and adhering to proper social distancing to ensure everyone's safety while here at Calvary Chapel.
Pastor Mark was born in Ohio, moving to Michigan when he was 2 years old. With Mark's father and grandfather both being pastors, he grew up in the church, accepting the Lord at age 5. Lynda was born in Michigan, where her brother and sister-in-law live today. After receiving his Pharmacy Degree, Mark and Lynda married in 1966. In 1969, after growing up in Michigan, Mark and Lynda left the snow and moved to the sunshine state where Mark was to be the Director of Pharmacy and Lynda, a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. In the next few years, Mark and Lynda's two children, Lee and Stacy, were born, and after serving 25 years as the Director of Pharmacy, in 1992, God called Mark to plant a new church in the Melbourne area. Supported by his wife Lynda, Mark eventually gave up his career in pharmacy to lead Calvary Chapel Melbourne full-time. Mark and Lynda love traveling out to Denver, CO to visit their children and four grandchildren. While Lynda enjoys painting with oils, sewing, and reading mysteries, Mark enjoys traveling, Asian food, and a good bargain. Together Mark and Lynda use their God-given gifts to further the mission of the church.Meet the Melbourne Team
