When you pull in, our wonderful parking volunteers will direct you to the closest available spot. No matter which door you come through one of our Guest Services volunteers will be there to greet you with a smile. If you have kids, just head to the Commons, where you'll find the kids' ministry check-in desk. No kids? Then head to the Commons to get a coffee or snack and chat with some friends or head straight into the Sanctuary to get ready for service.
We're all about family here at Calvary, which is why we make sure that we provide the best experience possible for each member of your family. From newborns to high schoolers, our services provide kids with an engaging environment where they can have fun, make new friends, and learn about Jesus through age-appropriate Bible teaching. We even have a nursing mom's room available so you can continue watching service while caring for your child.
The service lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes. We begin each service by singing four songs, followed by announcements. From there, you'll hear from one of our pastors as they teach God's Word and how we can apply it to our lives. We then finish up the service with a song as we respond to what we've learned in the teaching and collect tithes and offerings. Prayer partners are also always available after the service.
Calvary Chapel is for everyone, and we want everyone to feel welcome. Most people wear jeans and a nice button-up shirt or blouse, but there are also people who wear a nice dress or suit and those who wear a t-shirt and shorts. So come as you are and dress in whatever feels most comfortable.
Everyone is welcome to attend Calvary. If you have specific questions about our beliefs regarding certain aspects of your lifestyle, we'd love to get together over a coffee and have a chat.
Bryan was born in North Carolina but grew up in Europe and West Africa as a missionary kid. In the spring of 2010, after his senior year of college, Bryan had a radical encounter with Jesus that changed everything and set the trajectory for the rest of his life.
Bryan has worked at CCM since July of 2011 and is incredibly grateful for everything God has done in his life through the people of this church. In 2015, Bryan married his best friend, Katie. They have two boys, Isaiah and Malachi. As a family, they are passionate about Jesus, coffee, going to the Brevard Zoo, eating tacos, and cheering for the Carolina Panthers. They also love spending time with their families, who live in North and South Carolina and Florida.
Bryan loves seeing people encounter the love and freedom that comes from a relationship with Jesus. He is praying for a powerful move of God among the next generation on the Space Coast and beyond. A favorite verse of Bryan’s is Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
Dave Folkerts has been a pastor at Calvary Chapel Melbourne since 2002. In 2005, he started the Calvary Chapel Melbourne School of Ministry and has trained over 120 pastors, missionaries, and leaders through this program. He has also completed many classes through Calvary Chapel Bible College and Global University.
Dave was radically saved in 1981. Prior to coming on staff at Calvary, he spent 18 years in international corporate leadership in the agriculture industry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and completed an executive MBA equivalent program at Purdue University.
Dave and his wife, Barb, have been married since 1983 and are blessed with two married daughters, one married son and four grandchildren. They love to do mission work, ride bikes, and spend time with their family. Together they love serving God and are forever grateful for all He’s done in their lives.
