The Best Place To Be

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand and I will do all that I please. Isaiah 46:10

Foundations are fundamental; the uniqueness of every beginning is noteworthy because of its impact on the future. God's Word tells us that Jesus Christ is the Solid Foundation of our Christian faith (1 Corinthians 3:11). The Lord knows everything about us. He walked where we walk, but He has the whole world in His hands. Everything revolves around Him: He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The Lord knew our endpoint before we ever started, but humble submission and true repentance is the best starting point for Christ followers.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the Throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

No matter what path our life takes, humbly making our way back to our foundation must be a priority. Where else would we go? In Lord's presence is where we receive mercy and find grace to help us in our trials (Hebrews 4:16). When life's storms are raging, we find joy, peace, and pleasures at His right hand. Our humility before God opens our eyes to the truth of His Word; God is exactly who He says He is; greater and higher than any other, the One from whom all blessings flow. We are never too far away from God's eternal grace, and we need His grace to become a true reflection of Christ for the glory of His name, and God is faithful to complete every good work He started.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. Psalm 139:7-8

Obedience to God reflects our trust in Him, and it becomes evident to people around us in the way we respond to life circumstances. It is the assurance that the Lord's hand is on our lives that gives us the confidence to go before Him in prayer. At some point in time, we have all wandered off from God's grace... but Christ follower, where exactly are you right now? If you've gotten away from your foundation, return to God's presence by communicating with Him in prayer.

Prayer changes everything because it aligns our desires with God's will.
