A Messy World

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

God doesn't just look for faithful people; He looks for faith-filled people. A key component of our faith is passing it on to the next generation. As God Word reminds us, how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? (Romans 10:14) Our works can't save us, but as James pointed out, faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26) When our faith is strong, it will propel us to step out and speak out to others about Jesus. This is how we put our faith into action.

Our world is full of chaos every single day. Unfortunately, a horrible news story may cause us to run to the internet for answers. Instead of running to the world, we must run to the Lord for our answers and guidance. When we're confused or distressed, God's voice is our best resource for stability and clarity. When the world around you isn't making sense, seek God!

In Numbers 13, Moses sent twelve spies into the promised land on an exploration mission. But when they returned, only two of them gave a good report. What they saw made the other ten afraid, so they brought back a fearful, negative report. Their lack of faith and doubts caused them to convince the majority of the Israelites to retreat. Israel's lack of trust kept them from entering the promised land, and it robbed an entire generation of their blessing.

Our God still speaks, and He still keeps His promises! In our modern-day messy world, we must be like Caleb and Joshua. No matter what our world looks like, our faith must remain strong, and we must trust God's unshakable promises. After all, our Heavenly Father isn't absent. He knows, He sees, and He is always working behind the scenes.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Have faith, and trust God to work out the circumstances of your life, especially the ones you don't understand. He loves you, and He will work out your messiest problem. Our messy world is no problem for our mighty God! Stay in God’s Word and meditate on His promises.

As the scriptures say; faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

God loves you; He chose you, and He will continue to work through you for His glory!
