See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1
Being a parent is one of the greatest joys of my life, but it's also been one of my biggest challenges. Why? Because I wasn't prepared for how hard it would be to watch my children struggle... They are grown now, with children of their own, but when they were young, it was hard to know when to step in and rescue them -vs- allowing them to struggle and learn. I know my children well, so even when I couldn't see them, I could hear when the tone of their voice changed. They didn't always ask, but if their voice changed, I knew it was time for me to act. Without hesitation, I came to their rescue! God is a lot like that with us.
Our Heavenly Father is supremely wise. He knows when to rescue us, and He knows when to let us struggle so we'll grow stronger. God knows if we'll trust Him in the hard places, it will strengthen our faith and build our character. God's Word says He knows everything about us, including our name. It also says He has numbered every single hair on our heads! Christ follower, God knows what your day will be like before you ever wake up. He knows us so completely, He knows everything we'll say before we get the first word out.
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Psalms 139:1-5
God is all-knowing, and perfect in all His ways. His eye is always on us, and He hears each of our cries for help. If circumstances start unraveling and your courage starts faltering, stand firm in your faith and trust God's promise to protect you. In Psalms 57, David says it like this: “Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.” Psalms 57:1
Trust God's sovereignty! At just the right time, your Heavenly Father will step in and provide everything you need.
