And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Living for Jesus isn’t a one-time, spur of the moment decision. The process of sanctification (becoming more Christ-like) is a lifelong journey. And, friend, some journeys aren’t easy. Christianity is full of ups and downs... we'll see victories, and we'll perceive failure. Following Jesus is quite the roller coaster ride!

Oh, that we could linger on that mountaintop experience of our salvation, that moment we first believed. Fresh, and full of hope. Next, most of us (hopefully) symbolically joined our Savior in His death, burial, and resurrection as we were water baptized. Christian life seemed awesome, and initially, everything was was going great. Then, "life happens"... Trouble lurks. Problems emerge. We have laundry to do, a job to keep, and our days are filled with choices, distractions, and challenges.

No matter what we find ourselves dealing with in the present, it is His presence that transforms.

Moses knew this journey all too well as he led God's people through the desert for 40 years. Good days, followed by bad days. Days of victory, mingled with a few defeats. Yet Moses knew the secret of successful life; meeting with God, worshipping God, and obeying God. No matter the situation, no matter what day it was.

Moses met with God on a regular basis to worship Him and bask in His glory. When the people were wearied by the parched land and started complaining, Moses was radiant with praise. Every time he left the tent of meeting, Moses needed to veil his face because God's glory that shone on him was still reflecting off him. Think about it; the leftovers of God's glory that remained on Moses was too much to bear for most everyone.

...be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2

Like Moses, we should start our day with a fresh glimpse of the Lord. How? In prayer, by studying God's Word, singing praises, and by asking the Holy Spirit to guide our steps. Worship God, it will help you feel His presence! If you love the Lord, set aside some time to talk to Him. As our faith grows, we learn to depend on our personal relationship with God more and more. As we spend time in God's presence, His Spirit changes us, transforming us into His image.

Every day is a great day to seek the Lord! If your faith seems stagnant, seek God in new ways, then ask the Holy Spirit to refresh you.
