What a God!

For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:36

The phrase, "What a God" crowns every verse I read and every song I sing. It pops into my head every time I hear someone's testimony, and I envision it when I view God's creation. These three words have fueled my love and faith for God throughout my life. They remind me of what God has done, and they help me imagine what He will do in the future!

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13

God knitted each of us together with precision, down to the atoms we are made from and the molecules of our DNA. With infinite wisdom, He gave us our strengths, weaknesses, and every one of our abilities. He oversees and governs everything that influences us, and He uses those experiences to shape us into the likeness of His Son, Jesus Christ. What A God!

But make no mistake, nothing in life happens to us by accident. God knows everything that has ever happened to us, and He knows everything that will ever happen to us. The scriptures tell us that when a tiny sparrow falls to the ground, God knows (Matthew 10:29). What a God!

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— Colossians 1:15-16

It's hard for us to imagine, but God knows the smallest details of our story. Who we are today, and who we'll eventually become, God knows! But Christ followers are called to be God's light in a dark world. He designed us to be similar to a prism, so when His perfect light shines through us, we'll reflect His beauty and glory to the world. What a God!
