You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3
When we reflect on our lives, it's the perfect time to praise God and thank Him for what He's done. As we reflect, we remember both the highs and lows we've experienced. But in all things, in every one of those moments, God was right there with us. He wasn't just there, He was working in us, for us, and through us for His good pleasure!
When the storms of life are swirling, everything can seem unstable. But we are God's precious children, so He sees all of our circumstances. He also sees (and knows) everything that is happening in our tumultuous world. Lord, we need you to quiet the storm, quiet the winds, and quiet our fluttering hearts. Help us focus our minds on the promises in your Word instead of our circumstances. God, keep our mind steadfast because our trust is in You.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27
Christ follower, if your heart is troubled or difficult circumstances are causing doubts and fear, tell God about it! Then ask Him to fill you with His perfect peace. His peace is supernatural, and it surpasses all understanding. But if our worries, fears, and doubts start creeping back in, we must remember these instructions from the book of Philippians:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
The trials we experience can be long and tiring, but God's strength will always sustain us. So, instead of being filled with anxiety, let's be filled with prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. Praising God is how we guard our hearts and minds in difficult times, and it's what keeps us steadfast and grounded in His truth. I pray the Lord will comfort you today, and I also pray you will feel His presence as you praise Him!
The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:11
Lord, comfort us, and give us your strength. Please bless us as you walk us through our trials. Lord, thank you for giving us your strength and peace during life’s uncertainties. The storms of life may come, but you are our Shalom, our peace in the middle of them. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
