Meet the Speakers

Frank Turek

Frank Turek is a dynamic speaker and award-winning author or co-author of five books. He is best known as the founder and president of the Christian apologetics ministry CrossExamined.org. He presents powerful and entertaining evidence for Christianity at churches, high schools, and college campuses where he conducts dynamic I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist seminars.

Alisa Childers

Alisa Childers is a wife, mom, author, blogger, speaker, and worship leader. She was a member of the award winning Contemporary Christian recording group ZOEgirl. In her mid-thirties she experienced a period of profound doubt about her faith that led her to investigate her faith intellectually, taking seminary classes and reading everything she could get her hands on. She went from unreasoned doubt to a vibrant, rational, informed faith. She is now a popular speaker at apologetics and Christian worldview conferences.

Joseph Robinson

Joseph Robinson is a husband, pastor, and father of five and a passionate apologist. He is the founder and president of Overland Apologetics, Inc. which combines vehicle camping “off the grid” with compelling sessions teaching tactical ways to understand and defend the Christian worldview.

Session Descriptions

Session 1 | Should you follow your heart?

Frank Turek

Are you led by your feelings, or are you led by THE TRUTH? The Bible warns that “the heart is deceitful above all things,” yet our culture (and even some in the Church)--seem to have forgotten this essential truth. How can Christians resist the pull to follow their own desires instead of God’s truth? And why do we have an identity crisis in our world today? Join Dr. Frank Turek as he presents 'Should You Follow Your Heart?', a compelling discussion on the cultural and personal pitfalls of following FEELINGS over FACTS.

Session 2 | Progressive Christianity: A Biblical Response to a Growing Movement

Alisa Childers

Walk through the history, key beliefs, and key figures of the movement of progressive Christianity, as Alisa ultimately shows how progressive Christianity is at odds with historic Christianity and even disagrees with Jesus on what the Bible is, what Jesus accomplished on the cross, and the definition of the gospel.

Session 3 | Assault on the Imago Dei

Joseph Robinson

Addressing the confusion regarding our identity and bring clarity to leading cultural issues of Suicide, Abortion, Transgenderism and Sexuality.

Session 4 | Does Jesus trump your politics?

Frank Turek

Why should Christians be involved in politics? How can we love our neighbor through politics? Can we legislate morality? What should Christians do if we don’t like either candidate? Where do the candidates stand on the most important issues?

Session 5 | Is the Bible sexist?

Alisa Childers

Does Christianity oppress women? Does the Bible teach that women are less valuable than men? In this talk, Alisa will explain how Christianity has historically been liberating to women, and how the Bible actually elevates the status of women and teaches that women are made equal in value and worth to men, both being made in God’s image.
