Reflections of Grace

As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30

It's been said that a book can't be judged by its cover. When it's sitting on a bookshelf, a bible might look the same as the books on either side of it... but it's not! God gave us His Word in sixty-six books of scripture, and it's what we now call the bible. It isn't like the other books; it's God's personal love letter to mankind. It's 100% true, and it's the only book that contains a roadmap to eternity!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

God wants us to surrender our spirit, body, and mind to Him. But after we surrender, we must constantly renew our mind with His Word. When we do, the scriptures will align us with His will. But we must always remember that our minds are still a battleground. We have an enemy named Satan, and he is constantly attacking our minds. Reading, studying, and thinking about God's Word transforms us, and it also makes us more Christlike. When God's Word transforms us, it will be evident to others in our thoughts, words, and deeds. When our faith has action, it's proof that the Holy Spirit is actively changing us.

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:14

Christ follower, is your life a reflection of the grace you've received? If we've surrendered to God and we're following Jesus, our transformed life will speak volumes to everyone around us. How we respond to life's difficulties is important! The way we treat others may be even more important because it shows people how much of God's Word we've hidden in our hearts.

But remember, following Jesus doesn't make us perfect, it makes us a work in progress. Be encouraged, Christ isn't finished with you yet!
