Send me

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8

Have you ever prayed for something for years, but failed to realize your prayer had been answered? It usually happens when we have preconceived ideas about how we think God will answer them. We can't box God in with our human expectations because He may answer our prayers in unrecognizable ways.

It might be happening right now if you've been praying for a revival. It's something many of us have been praying for, but if we're looking for large events or noticeable results, we may miss it when it starts. For example, some pray for revival like a spectator, praying they will get to see God move. But most revivals start organically, as a small movement in a small group of people. The people who are initially part of it aren't spectators, they're participants!

Instead of a large rally, it may be just a few people... Instead of a public speaker, it may start with 1:1 discipleship. After all, when Jesus gave us the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) He said, "go and make disciples of all nations." Maybe the next great revival will spring forth as a discipleship movement! Right now, many people are either returning to church or visiting one for the first time. Both categories of people will need discipleship from someone who is further along in their walk with Jesus.

You may not view yourself as a mentor, but if you're a Christ follower and are getting spiritually fed in a church like CCM, you are probably further along in your walk than you think. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, your church will train you, and The Holy Spirit will equip you! I believe that our prayer for revival is being answered right here and right now. God is giving us a wonderful opportunity to be part of what He's doing, but we can't sit on the sidelines as spectators. We must be participants!

The revival we've been praying for seems to be starting. If end times are as close as we think, this move of God may prove to be one of the most important spiritual movements of our time... Be a part of it by going through CCM's 1:1 discipleship program. When you finish, offer to take some else through it!
